Tristan Eaton + Keihl’s Collaboration Silk-Screen poster. So I just signed these this week and you can win one for free by following Keihl’s on Twitter @KeihlsNYC and RTing. Edition of 25 only!
The poster celebrates Keihl’s long heritage in NY’s East Village and the launch of their new store on 14th St. in the meat packing district - where you can find my mural (in their bathroom!).
I moved to NYC when I was 20 and immediately fell into the village. I started showing with the old Sub-Culture gallery in 1999 and the East Village became my stomping ground. My good pals (Dave Schwartz and Erik Foss) who owned Sub-Culture, went on to open the notorious Lit Lounge, thus giving a lot of us a dark, dirty mothership for all of our East Village adventures. Along the way, I befriended a big crew of East Village legends and locals (big up Dante Ross, Carlo McCormick!) and legendary memories were formed.
Anyway, this poster is dedicated to the East Village legends that made the place what it is (or was)…Alan Ginsberg, Debbie Harry, Basquiat,The Ramones, Herring, The Beasties and more.
Enjoy.
